I see you recommend lifting 5x a week but I do 4x a week lower body mon and thurs and upper body tues and fri and after reading this intend on add HIIT 4x a week. My question is if 5x a week is recommended how I get sufficient recovery time in between? Also been lifting heavily since sept and have definitely seen a difference but not what I had hoped by now but I have also been dieting so I think that maybe I have not been getting enough protein what do you think? Started I sept 5′ 3″ 150 lbs now 125 lbs still would like to loose another 5 lbs or so.
I recently started HIIT workouts and I love them! I also started strength training. I’ve been doing the HIIT workout and then a 45min strength training DVD immediately after, usually late at night. I’ve been going every other day, and using the rest day to relax or maybe go for a long walk. If my goal is fat loss and toning up (I’m about 30 pounds overweight), should I be doing the HIIT workouts or strength training first thing in the morning, before breakfast? Also, should I do the HIIT and weights on different days? And does it matter if I do HIIT first or weights first? Again, my goal is fat loss. Thanks! So glad I found your site!
Actually it is you believing what you want. I am going on the words of the ….but you are going of the words or writings of some imp.. probably trying to sell some crap. IN FACT from Arnie’s own words his year in the military was his biggest gain in a year up until then ..25lbs…In the military he had to pace his workouts because he had to workout the whole day! Arnie started full body modeling after Reg but his enthusiasm quickly escalated his workouts to six days a week..one year in … before his real mass gain.. Look at his pics at 16yrs old ..that was the full body workout results.. Learn to read the words of the Man and you will be left less clueless.
